Taste of the West gold for Frobishers juices
The apple, damson and rhubarb and the apple and raspberry blends wowed the judges, who deemed them outstanding in the non-alcoholic drinks category and gave gold awards to both.
Juicebox, five litres of premium juice in a wine-box style container that sits on the fridge shelf, was launched this year, selling online and at Darts Farm in Topsham. It’s also supplied to schools, cafes, restaurants and bars in a chilled dispenser.
Steve Carter, sales director at Frobishers, said: “We’re thrilled to win gold from Taste of the West, because it’s a real seal of approval and widely recognised in the south west.
“We use only the finest fruit but we still had to put a huge amount of work into getting these blends perfect, so we’re delighted they’ve made the grade.
“There is fantastic food and drink being produced in Devon and the south west region, and it’s great to have the Taste of the West backing it so well.”
Frobishers, well known in the drinks trade, was taken over earlier this year by the Exeter-based fruit ingredients supplier, Cobell.
